Hello Rio Seco Families,

I am so excited to join the Rio Seco community as your new Vice Principal! I have been in education for 30 years, serving in a variety of roles including elementary classroom teacher, technology resource teacher supporting preschool through middle school, instructional coach, and principal for eight years. Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about helping students and teachers thrive, and I’m thrilled to now bring that experience to Rio Seco — a school that is especially close to my heart as it’s right here in my own neighborhood.

I look forward to getting to know all of our students and families as we work together to support the success of every child. On a personal note, I am the proud parent of five children, a grandparent to nine wonderful grandchildren, and the happy owner of one very cute little dog.

I can’t wait to meet you all and begin this exciting journey together!

Hello Roadrunner Families,

I am thrilled to be part of the Administrative Team at Rio Seco! This is my 19th year in the Santee School District, and I am proud to be a longtime member of the Rio Seco family. I was a classroom teacher here for 10 years before stepping into the role of Site Curriculum and Instruction Teacher - clearly, I just can’t stay away!

I am excited to continue building positive relationships with students and helping them grow into confident, well-rounded scholars and citizens. One of my passions is creating opportunities for students to discover and express their many talents. Whether it be music, art, leadership, sports, technology, or a favorite subject, I feel it is important for students to have the space to share their interests and shine!

My goal as an educator is to make school a place where every student feels supported, valued, and inspired to succeed - and where they can create connections and  memories along the way.
