Hello 5th grade Parents,
Welcome to my page for 2023-24! This will be my 10th year of teaching. This is by far the most rewarding job I have ever experienced. I absolutely love my career. I was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley within Los Angeles County. After graduating high school, I decided to join the Army and I went on active duty for 3 years. My military time was very valuable to me, so when my active duty contract was up, I joined the California National Guard and was a member for 17 years. While in the guard, I was able to graduate with a B.A. in Liberal Studies and receive a teaching credential for Multiple Subjects and Education Specialist from Cal Poly Pomona. I worked for the Montebello Unified School District as an SDC teacher for two years before making the move out here to be with my wife. I have taught in the Oceanside School District as an SDC/RSP Teacher and Mountain Empire School district as an RSP Teacher before finding my placement here in Santee. I made the transfer here to Carlton Oaks after spending the last 4 years at Rio Seco as a Jr. High RSP teacher. I look forward to working with your children and having a wonderful school year!
